Sparkling Malbec, by Gouguenheim

Regular price £15.00

From an obscure nobody, Argentina has made an international rockstar out of Malbec. But whilst its a staple grape for smooth, fruity reds, its rosé wines are less familiar. And how about a sparkling Malbec rosé? That’s something you don’t see every day. Argentina isn’t exactly famous for sparkling wines right?

Enter Patricio Gouguenheim. His high altitude vineyard helps the grapes hang onto that perfect acidity. And slow ripening creates super-concentrated fruit flavours. Using the tank method (the same as Prosecco), Patricio creates a sparkling rosé that’s pure fun – fruity, delicious, and ridiculously drinkable. In the wine world, it’s what we like to call ‘smashable.’

Why we chose it?

A sparkling Malbec is fairly unusual. One this good? Gold dust!

You could almost say wine is in Patricio Gouguenheim's DNA. His small family winery is perched above 1,000m in the Andes outside Mendoza, and his philosophy prioritises quality wines that speak of the unique growing area.
