Sparking Rose NV by Benjamin Bridge

Regular price £26.00

If you didn't know Canada produces high quality sparkling wine, you do now.

This wine is from Nova Scotia, on the Canadian East Coast, where similar climatic conditions to the UK are perfect sparkling wine production. Long summer days with cool evenings allow flavours to fully develop whist retaining the high acidity that every good sparkling needs.

Whilst this is a traditional method style of sparkling wine, similar to Champagne, it contains an unusual local grape variety in L’Acadie Blanc, that adds further freshness and minerality to the final wine.

Flavour wise, you get some lovely apple and citrus, combining well with the mineral and saline backdrop. Whilst the Pinot Noir adds some subtle strawberry notes, and a lovely pale colour.

Why we choose it?
Something different - definitely. Something that tastes good - absolutely.

It's imperative that the ecosystem is prioritised, acheived through regenerative farming practise and and minimal intervention approach in the winery. Nova Scotia

Gaspereau Valley sits on the Northern side of the Nova Scotia peninsula, and has a truly exemplary maritime climate. lt leads into the Bay of Fundy, which has one of the highest tidal movements in the world, ushering in cool breezes to the vineyards throughout summer, crucial to retaining high acidity and freshness. Temperatures still get up towards 28 degrees, and an extended growing season into Autumn gives time for all the subtle flavour compounds to fully develop.
